My Birthday Wishlist!

Birthday Wishlist Draft

I’m a December baby. And as such when my birthday rolls around each year I take a few seconds to get onto my soap box and complain about how my b-day gets lost in the shuffle around the holidays. So here’s me on my soapbox — and here’s a few things I think would make me feel oh so much better about the whole December birthday thing. Ok ok, so not really —

But I couldn’t resist sharing a few picks from the top of my list! Plus, my birthday’s exactly a month away and since we’re already starting to hit gift guide season, I figured I’d knock this particular post out in a timely manner before gift guides start taking over my (and everyone else’s) lives!

So what makes the cut? A few pretty baubles are always an easy favorite, and cozy layers are a great go-to this time of year too — these gloves are supposedly touchscreen friendly, and I’ve been drooling over all of DeNada’s designs for years, especially this infinity scarf. I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect oversized-but-not-too-oversized jacket, and this ASOS Petite jacket looks like such a chic option. To round out the bundled-up necessities, I’ve been searching for a great pair of classic riding boots. Given my boot obsession, it’s amazing how many pairs of booties I’ve accumulated while still failing to find the perfect riding boots — worth the investment, I think. I’m loving this LBD, these classic skinnies, and this super-soft turtleneck, too.

On the décor front, I absolutely love this Hanna Andersson Wool Rya Rug as the perfect pair for the office corner I’m creating, and I’m obsessed with everything this UK-based etsy seller is creating — especially this Dirty Dancing-reference print. I love this eclectic Anthropologie dishware as an alternative to the usual white, and this ice bucket from Waiting on Martha is TOO good.

Ok, ok, I’m almost done. Just a 2015 planner, please and thank you, and a beautiful coffee table book or two. Oh, and if anyone wants to contribute to the camera I keep blabbing about buying, that would be great. Because it’s pretty darn steep and I’m going to have to bite the bullet eventually!

  1. I have a camera on my list too. But i’m so worried about the investment. What do you currently shoot with? Do you like it?

    • I have a Canon Rebel that I’ve loved for years and years — I’m pretty much just at the point where it’s getting glitchy and I need an upgrade — I highly recommend it though, I also shoot with a 50mm/1.4 lens and love it.
