I’ll be back to my exciting week of DC Faves tomorrow, but there’s no way I was going to pass up this week’s rendition of Outfit Meets Occasion. If you’re just stopping by for the first time, Outfit Meets Occasion is a collaboration I’ve been hosting over the past few weeks with Alicia of River City Chic, Katie of Pearls & Twirls, and Shelby of Glitter & Gingham. We’ve styled looks for tailgating and pumpkin patch visiting, and this week we’re helping you with what to wear for a fall wedding!
I scooped up this Lauren Moffatt dress at Current Boutique a few weeks back (under $75, thank you very much), and I’ve been just itching to wear it. The ladylike cut, three-quarter sleeves, and pockets make the perfect modest yet distinctive look for a fall wedding. The jacquard fabric also makes the lighter color of the design very wearable well into the colder months, and I kept the look autumn-inspired by pairing it with a simple pair of black sandals and a beaded clutch. The really fun part? I was able to dress down this frock with black ankle boots and a leather jacket — perfect for the workweek.
We’re going to continue this fabulous collaboration over the next few weeks or so, and we’re hoping to give you a little inspiration for all of those must-dress fall events. Take a sec to comment below if you have an event you need specific advice on!
