Another round of end-of-week favorites on deck today — hope you have exciting fall plans for the weekend! I personally have been drooling over all of the mid-season sales kicking off over the past few days — ahem, 50% of J.Crew Factory, yes please. I also scooped up this darling bag from ASOS, have been working on a monster list of fab fall recipes, and have been starting the countdown to a weekend at our friend’s aunt’s place in Cass, West Virginia, aka the PERFECT place to drink in the essence of autumn, complete with gorgeous foliage, ice-cold brews, and plenty of flannel.
Speaking of fall brews, from now through Saturday, DC residents can pop over to Scion or Crios (Dupont Circle area) and dabble in the pumpkin beer craze — a grand total of 45-plus pumpkin brews will be on offer for just $5 each, so run, don’t walk, for your seasonal dose of bubbly fall goodness.
Speaking of pumpkin goodness, take a gander at my roundup of pumpkin patches in the area for all the best spots for apple picking, pumpkin selecting, corn maze meandering, the whole shebang.
October is a seriously event-heavy month, at least for this busy blogger. I had the incredible opportunity to meet Leandra Medine, the Man Repeller herself, at a fab event at the W Hotel’s POV Rooftop Lounge. I’ve been eyeing Glitter Guide‘s roundup of fashion-y reads, including Leandra’s debut, Seeking Love, Finding Overalls.
Also on tap this week, The Fashionably Broke debuted pics from the newly established Topshop destination at Nordstrom Pentagon City. I can’t wait to shop the incredible collection, and non-DCers, there are locations popping up all over, keep your eyes out for the closest venue.
Also on the event docket coming up, DC Wine Week is just days away and I personally am so pumped! I had the chance to attend the Vinolovers kickoff party a little while back, and it was the perfect kickoff of wine week festivities featuring events galore all over the DC area.
Last but not least, I’m officially moved into my very own Dupont Circle studio apartment, and I couldn’t be more excited. That being said, my stuff is all over the place, I have no idea how to deal with a studio, and about half of my furniture needs painting. Luckily, Sara of High Fashion 4 Less has tips for bringing light into a small space that I’ll definitely be turning to over the next few weeks as I get settled!
Last but not least, I made cookies — pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to be precise — over on The DC Ladies today — perfect for your rainy weekend baking aspirations!
