In this second installment of Art Meets Apartment, I’m drawing inspiration from all the lovely greenery gracing the finally unfolding spring these days. I’ve always been a huge fan of home décor inspiration drawn from nature and these picks are no different!

Inspiring my picks: the German artist Albrecht Dürer and the “Albrecht Dürer: Master Drawings, Watercolors, and Prints from the Albertina” exhibit that recently opened at the National Gallery of Art here in DC.

This incredible collection of more than 90 watercolors and drawings was an absolute delight to peruse — I would definitely recommend a visit! Dürer’s 16th-century works are reminiscent of some of the anatomically correct and highly detailed works that da Vinci created around the same time and I absolutely love the emphasis on detail.

What’s your favorite nature-inspired décor pick?
